Popular restaurant in London

"The Breakfast Club London Bridge" in London is a vibrant and popular restaurant that belongs to the chain of the same name, known for its creative breakfast and brunch offerings since its establishment in Soho in 2005. Located near the bustling London Bridge area, it attracts a colorful mix of tourists exploring the nearby Borough Market, locals, and commuters who benefit from its central location. The venue has earned a reputation as an unconventional gathering spot, excelling not only in its food but also in its playful atmosphere and a hidden extra—a subterranean cocktail bar. It’s a place that starts the day with energy and a touch of nostalgia.

Breakfast and brunch offerings London

The atmosphere at "The Breakfast Club London Bridge" is striking and unique. The interior features a shiny pink ceiling that immediately catches the eye and a lovingly curated collection of "Pat Butcher" memorabilia that pays homage to the British cult series *EastEnders*. The decor is a blend of retro charm and modern flair, with bright yellow accents recalling the chain's roots, and a relaxed yet lively vibe. Especially in the evenings, the venue transforms into a sociable hotspot, with music—often a tribute to the '80s—drawing guests in. A hidden gem is the underground bar "Call Me Mr. Lucky," accessible with a secret password, offering a tequila-focused, speakeasy-style experience that rounds out the visit.

Unique atmosphere in London

Culinary-wise, the restaurant focuses on hearty and sweet breakfast and brunch dishes served all day. A highlight is the "Full Monty," a lavish English breakfast featuring bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, and fried eggs, which impresses with its abundance and classic flavor. Equally popular are the "Pancakes with Bacon," combining fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon and a splash of maple syrup—a sweet and salty combination that delights many guests. For a lighter option, the "Avocado & Poached Egg" stands out, with creamy avocado served on sourdough bread topped with perfectly poached eggs, emphasizing freshness and quality. The portions are generous and comfort-focused, highlighting high-quality British ingredients.

Underground cocktail bar London

The drink selection is equally varied and inviting. Milkshakes, such as chocolate or strawberry, offer a sweet treat that is particularly popular with younger guests or as a complement to the hearty dishes. Coffee enthusiasts appreciate the premium options sourced from local suppliers like Joe’s Tea, while fresh juices provide a healthy alternative. The underground bar "Call Me Mr. Lucky" elevates the experience with creative cocktails, including tequila-based creations that reflect the area's nightlife. The "Bottomless Brunch" is especially popular, allowing guests to enjoy unlimited drinks like Prosecco or cocktails with their meals—an offer that makes the venue a favorite for weekend gatherings.

Friendly service in restaurant London

Service is often described as friendly and laid-back, contributing to the relaxed atmosphere. Staff are happy to explain the menu or the concept of the secret bar and are flexible with special requests. However, during peak times, such as weekends or market days, it can get busy, and wait times are not uncommon, as the restaurant is often well-frequented due to its popularity. Orders are partly taken through an app, speeding up the process, even though the noise level—due to music and conversation—can sometimes be challenging. Nevertheless, most guests find the experience positive, supported by the warm nature of the team.

"The Breakfast Club London Bridge" is deeply embedded in the culture of the area, benefiting from its location near key transport hubs and attractions. It is a place that combines tradition with a modern twist—the nod to the '80s film *The Breakfast Club* is evident in the playful decor and pop culture references. The restaurant appeals to a broad audience: from families to students, and groups looking for a fun evening. Sustainable practices, such as sourcing British products and converting waste into energy, also underscore a responsible approach that goes beyond just food.

You should hire adequate staff to prepare food for deliveries. No one like to have breakfast at noontime

Excellent Service – Above and Beyond! We visited on Pancake Tuesday as a large group of ten, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They were quick, friendly, and incredibly helpful in making sure we could sit together. The pancakes were delicious, and the music was great. A fantastic experience all around—highly recommended!

Overpriced below average pancakes. I also had an egg and avocado toast, that was an unripe avocado, drowned in a hot sauce, awful. Worst is the rude and pushy service. I still had my plate in front of me and was already given the bill 30 minutes into a 1 hour reservation.

Horrible. Waiters asked 4 times in 5 minutes if we already knew what we wanted to order. If we're looking at the menu, we don't know yet. We got our pancakes, they we're really dry and cold. I ordered vanilla cream, which was sort of sweet butter instead of vanilla sauce. The cappucino was cold and infused with too much cacao powder so it was more of a chocolate. We finished our dinner and immediately the waiter came with the bill, we didn't asked for it yet. Really rude and no service. We paid 50 euros for a really simple breakfast, and could nearly stay for 10 minutes and we had to go already. Would never recommend this place

Absolutely recommendable. Very tasty breakfast, lots of vegetarian/vegan dishes. We had breakfast there twice and would certainly do it more often if we lived in London. I can only rate the vegetarian and vegan dishes, but they really are unbelievably delicious. The service is absolutely courteous and friendly. The ambience is very nice.

Très bonne adresse pour profiter d'un maxi breakfast ! Je recommande ! Nous y sommes allés un lundi matin (2 adultes 2 enfants) sans faire de réservation au préalable, nous avons eu une table au bout de 10 min d'attente.

I love the Breakfast Club as a business concept! We came today for brunch. Super lovely guy at the door who got us seated quickly at the bar despite being busy - big thanks bud! Food was cracking - had the famous dish. Felt the service when seated could’ve been better. Wasn’t seen for about 10 mins despite being sat at the bar. Still giving this a 5* because of the initial warm welcome and cracking food 💫 Will be back 💥

Food was nice but unfortunately we were overcharged. I looked at the receipt and noticed the previous orders were still on our table so hence the overcharge. We asked for them to remove the items which weren’t ours and only when we got home we noticed we didn’t get the full refund and also had to pay the service charge, which on the receipt says optional (we weren’t given the choice). Ideally I would’ve had that taken off due to the overcharge. Originally charged £87 in total with service charge. Should’ve been charged £34.95 (without optional service charge) and refunded £52 not £32.

February 2022- Awful experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a lot of small flies. When the food arrived it looked tasty until it attracted a ridiculous amount of flies. We spoke to the manager who kindly understood the situation and we left before eating the food. Very disappointing.

Our first meal off the plane and we wanted a real English breakfast. This one definitely felt a bit like it was catering to tourists but still had a lot of the qualities of a solid English breakfast. The service and atmosphere here were great - all the staff were very friendly. The place was packed with a wait, and seemed to be filled with both tourists and locals. Our group all ordered either the Full Monty or the Greasy Spoon. The sausages were delicious - seasoned really well. The beans were also very rich - probably soaked in some kind of animal fat maybe? Nice spot for a hearty breakfast!
